Automation

F & K DELVOTEC's platform concept allows tailor made solutions without the need for expensive one-off manufacture of special machines or components. This applies not only to proven standards such as bond heads, control, power supplies and drive technologies but also to part feeding and automation.

As automatic as necessary, as manual as possible: Smartomation, the name for intelligent automation solutions from F & K DELVOTEC.

The degree of automation increases with the customer expansion

We offer work holders for any imagineable work piece ranging from simple manual bonding stations, with or without clamping, to complex magazine to magazine transport systems or in-line feeding. A particular advantage: the degree of automation increases or decreases with the customer demands.

The component handling can be converted at any time from manual to automatic or from magazine-to-magazine to in-line links and back again. Together with our parent company, Strama-MPS, we integrate F & K wire bonders in complete manufacturing lines with other joining, assembly and test units.

All bonders are built using the cantilever technology. The bond system is mounted to the rear leaving three sides completely free. This brings two benefits: the work piece can be fed-in from the front and thus is easily exchanged.

Over and above that, the width of the work piece can be twice that of the bonder, as it can be bonded in two passes by rotating it.

Clamping system, positioning and material handling

• PC boards and ceramic substrates are often contorted or curved. Specially constructed clamping systems ensure plane fitting during bonding
• Automatic positioning and feeding systems for common carriers such as lead-frames, pallets, Auer boats, PC boards, large housings, solar cells and batteries.
• Tpyical basic versions for magazine lifts: one magazine, multiple magazines in one level, multiple magazines in different levels, replaceable at will, without effecting the bonding operation.
• Customer specific integration of the whole bonder on complete manufaturing lines
